Kehonrakentaja Dallas McCarverin kuolema on koskettanut monia lajin huippuja.

McCarver menehtyi maanantai-iltana. Hän oli kuollessaan vasta 26-vuotias (uutinen).

Kuudesti perätysten Mr. Olympiaksi valittu Phil Heath on yksi heistä, joita suru-uutinen koskettaa syvästi.

– On erittäin surullista huomata, että tämä nuori mies on poissa. En voinut edes koota itseäni tänä aamuna, koska olin ja olen edelleen täydellisessä sokissa, Heath kirjoitti.

McCarver sijoittui viime vuonna Mr. Olympia -kisoissa kahdeksanneksi.

It comes with great sadness to realize that this young man is gone. I couldn’t even gather myself this morning as I was and am still in complete shock. Dallas was an amazing young man that brought so much light into a sport that has at times such darkness. Look at his smile, I mean look at most of his pics and you could see his smile illustrating his love for bodybuilding! I remember chatting with him on various occasions but mostly about how he was the future and how I would be there to help him in any and every way. I’m saddened that we could not see his true potential be fulfilled but I do know that God makes no mistakes and Dallas is with Him right now! @dallasmccarver you inspired many and will continue to as your legacy although short lived was full of excitement and happiness! Man I miss you Youngin as this one hurts deep.
