Legendan maineen saavuttanut irlantilainen nyrkkeilyvalmentaja Brendan Ingle on kuollut 77 vuoden iässä. Brittikonkari nousi uransa mittaan yhdeksi alansa arvostetuimmista tekijöistä kehitettyään salillaan useita maailmanmestareita.

Inglen ansioluettelo puhuu puolestaan. Irlantilaislegenda auttoi muun muassa Prince Naseem Hamedin ja Johnny Nelsonin maailmanmestareiksi.

Monet brittiläisen nyrkkeilyn suurimmat nimet järkyttyivät uutisesta ja lähettivät surunvalittelunsa Inglen perheelle sosiaalisen median välityksellä.

Osaa suruun ottivat muiden joukossa entinen maailmanmestari Anthony Crolla, entinen alemman raskassarjan mestari Tony Bellew, nyrkkeilypromoottorit Eddie Hearn ja Frank Warren sekä Inglen omat kasvatit Nelson sekä Barry Awad.

In a day and age where the term ‘legend’ is thrown about so loosely, here’s a man who epitomised the word!
The man who taught me so much about life- The man to whom I owe everything. A father and a friend!

My Mentor
My Teacher
My Hero

Love you Brendan, Rest In Peace ❤️

Frank Warren

Deepest condolences from myself and everybody at Queensberry to Alma and the Ingle family after the passing of legendary trainer & mentor Brendan.

Boxing has lost a legend and I will look back fondly on the many great moments we shared together in the sport. RIP my friend.
